October Self Check-Up

Actually, I'm going to backup up a little to mid-September and make this a 6 week check up.
September was a stressful month at work and included traveling for a conference. Working longer hours than usual meant that I didn't feel like making dinner or packing a lunch for the next day when I got home. This lead to more eating out than usual, but I did better than I have in the past and still tried to keep my calories and portion sizes in check. Then came the 4 days of the conference. I knew I was going to over eat due to having little control over the food since most of it was plated banquet meals. The bigger problem was after I got home. It took me about 10 days to get my eating back on track. I gained 6 pounds. I know some of it was just bloating, but some of it was from eating 3,000 calories a day too.
My successes included keeping up with my workouts. The exercise was a huge help in controlling my stress level for the month. And the calories burned didn't hurt either! I was able to lose what I had gained and a little bit more too. I also achieved my goal of being able to run an entire 5K! That feat still boggles my mind. I never ever imagined I could run.
My plan for November is to keep moving! Definitely going to make this a MOVE-ember to remember. I am going to try harder to stay within my calorie range. I haven't been going too far over, but even 200-300 extra calories a day adds up. I will also go to the gym 6 days a week. I will strength train 3 days a week. I will get at least 5 miles on my Fitbit every day.
