Rapid Eye Movement Desensitization....if I have my letters in the right order.
Yesterday my therapist used some of this technique to help me with guided imagery. Being depressed I couldn't think of a safe place. I don't feel really safe right now...not suicidal...just not comfortable and safe. So my therapist guided me to a safe place. I found it at home today in my chair for 15 minutes. Not a bad first try.
The last therapist that tried it used tapping. She was next to a noisy office of men and I didn't feel safe there anyway, so it just didn't work.
I really liked the guided imagery. I felt more relaxed after I did that.
Then he used the light bar. I can see how this is really going to help me.
I am excited to use this REMD!!
