My first swimming meditation

Yesterday was a golden day at the gym for me.
I am trying to practice present moment awareness and it does not come easily or naturally to me. But I thought.... Swimming, that seems like a natural place one could practice meditation/present moment awareness
Plus I have always loved the water. The freedom of it, the feeling of weightlessness, I just find the whole water thing delightful. Inside of my 58 year old self is a little 6 year old self that never wants to get out of the pool, never wants to come to shore when in the ocean.
So I just swam lazy laps....
And when I got to the end of each lap I said an audible thank you. I could do that as no one else was in the pool:)
I also sang a Kundalini mantra softly as I went along.
I could physically feel my level of joy rising.
I could feel a sense of wonder and contentment rising.
It was beautiful!
It was exhilarating!
The pool is an indoor pool. It has glass blocks that let in a lot of sunlight.
Well it was about 4 pm and the sun was starting to go down.
The sun was filtering through the glass blocks in a way that made them sparkle like diamonds. It was breath-taking. It was just so perfect. Just had to share with y'all .
