HOW I SPENT MY CHRISTMAS-WEEK #4 A & I SHIMMERING SNOWFLAKES

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

I spent Christmas this year with my Mom. She is 95 years old, and in a nursing home. I took her home made muffins, which we enjoyed. I also took a bottle of wine, but she did not feel up to having any. I told her I would gladly bring it another day when we could really enjoy it together.
I did really well on my eating. I made myself baked chicken, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes with just a small amount of sour cream. Later I had yogurt with a banana, and a small amount of whipped cream. I also watched "Its a Wonderful Life", which I thoroughly enjoyed. For the most part I had a very, very nice Christmas, one I will treasure for years to come.

    Barb,
I hope your mom is doing well and am glad you were able to spend Christmas with her.
We watched "Its a Wonderful Life" too! I've seen it several times, but DH had only seen it once.
Best wishes for the New Year!

What a precious way to spend Christmas. My mother is 95 too. and in a nursing home. Sadly she was not well enough to enjoy a similar celebration, but I had a good visit.

I'm really glad you had such a nice Christmas! What a nice way to spend Christmas...with your 95 year old mom. I'm sure that must have made her really happy to spend the day with you. You know, I've never seen the entire movie "It's a Wonderful Life". One of these days I'll have to watch it. YAY for eating healthy on Christmas day! emoticon emoticon emoticon
