Back to the gym!

Today was my first day back in a gym. I was a member at Sport and Health several years ago but finances made it difficult to keep my membership so I just started working out at home. There is absolutely nothing wrong with working out at home. As a matter of fact I've done great. I prefer exercising alone but I'll admit that the energy in a gym setting is motivating. Today I met with a trainer who helped me set some goals and asked a bunch of questions to help figure out how to reach them. She had me do some some tests and found that I am very stiff in my upper back. I could have told her that but never realized how much it effects how I exercise. She taught me some new stretches. It looks like I need to invest in a foam roller. It felt wonderful! After meeting with her I hit the treadmill and got a good run in. I haven't run in over a month. I missed it. I also did some strength training. Next Monday I will meet again with the trainer to help me set up a routine to get me started towards my goals. Excited! This is going to be so helpful with BLC24 right around the corner.
