A New Year, A New Idea

Thursday, January 02, 2014

So I have been living my new life for over 2 months now. The holidays are over and it is time to get back to business. Since I get home right in time to start supper I haven't been spending a lot of time sparking. The lightbulb finally came on! I am on a computer on my lunch break so why not get on here to log my food and make a blog entry.

I found an idea on pinterest (I think) to make a visual reminder of the weight I want to lose. I have two glasses (or vases), with aquarium rocks to mark the pounds I want to lose and the pounds I have lost. One is labeled "Pounds Lost" and the other is labeled "Pounds to Lose." Then with each pound a rock is moved from one glass to the other. It is right on my bathroom sink so I look at it several times a day. Good reminder and it doesn't seem so bad when it's broken down like that. Plus I only put my short term goal in the glass. My cousin's wedding is May 31st and I want to be down for that.

I haven't been sleeping because my brain doesn't shut off and I have been focusing on getting pregnant, or not getting pregnant. Starting now I am back focusing on getting healthy as a way to help my body get ready for a baby. I don't care how tired I am when I get home, I need to exercise instead of sit on my behind!

Great idea and wonderful goals! We were never blessed with children but I've heard the more you concentrate on it, the more stress you're under and it makes it harder, so just relax and enjoy. :) Oh, someone told me once that if you take really hot showers, stop it, because that makes it harder too. Just repeating what I've heard. :) Good luck! HUGS!
