Need money!

Thursday, January 02, 2014

I have literally no money at all and there is no "healthy" food in the house, it's all bread, pasta and processed crap either covered in sugar or saturated fat. I can't wait until I have some money and can go and buy some fresh and healthy food and start this off properly. At the moment I'm just doing the best I can with what I have (which is a lot of bread, bread and more bread). I need to be working again!! I also need my moods to be level before that or I will just end up the way I was again.

This sounds much like me the last few days. My plan is to grocery shop for healthy goodies tomorrow when I get paid, but for now I've just been eating smaller portions of junk. Better than large portions of junk, yeah? It's always a struggle to eat healthy when you're on a tight budget, trust me I know....doesn't seem right, really.

I found your blog by a very roundabout (another team I was invited to...)

One question: are you going to your local food bank?? If not, make that this week's priority!! Folks like you are **exactly** why they are there!! As well as local "public" ones, check out church groups and senior centers. Many do not require any kind of registration, so please don't hesitate. And don't stop until you find one that can help. The fact that you are trying to take better care of yourself makes you all the more deserving in my book!! (A good way to locate one is to ask the Management at your grocery store if/who they donate to. Almost all large stores do so. We used to pick up at Safeway's Fred Meyer's, Albertson's , even Costco...)
    All the best,

Hang in there! I've been there, and I can sympathize, eating noodles and toast with every meal is not very healthy (nor enjoyable)..

Here is to a change in luck for you! Hoping 2014 will bring health, job opportunities and financial stability your way.
