Still Going Strong!

I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with myself. I have done Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred everyday since I started it (which I think was Dec. 29) except for New Year's Day, so that's 7 out of the last 8 days. Almost everyday I've done it pretty much first thing: wake up, bathroom, put on workout clothes, take dog out, have a small snack while getting workout queued up, then get my sweat on.
I'm still not getting up as early as I'd like. I'm even trying a "white noise" app and playing the "heavy rain" sound because I usually sleep like a baby when it's raining. I feel like it might be helping a little bit, but I still feel like I'm not getting great sleep the first few hours, and then I finally fall into a deep sleep and when my alarm goes off, it's like I feel like I haven't been asleep for very long. Ugh! Trying to figure out how to get to sleep when I want so I can get up when I want. Maybe once school starts again it will help? Even though I'm working out now, I'm not getting in a toooon of other activity, other than playing with the dog, short walks, and cooking (and baking for the hubs). I think I felt like I was in a really deep sleep this morning because I hardcore cleaned the the floors yesterday (and did some other household things) because I'm following a "get your house together" guide called The January Cure (over on ApartmentTherapy.com).
Anyway, I haven't done my workout yet today. I woke up much later than intended, and had something I wanted to watch at 11 (University of Texas just hired their new head football coach and I wanted to watch the press conference), plus I woke up hungry. I usually cramp up a bit when I workout soon after having a full meal, so I decided today I'd watch the press conference, watch "The Chew" on ABC afterward (love!) and workout later in the afternoon.
Oh, also, I weighed in yesterday. I'm down about half a pound. Definitely better than nothing, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed at first. I kinda grumbled through the first few minutes of my workout, even thinking "what's the point of doing this when it's not really paying off?". And then I realized, again, that in just a week I've upped the weights on some of the moves, and my cardio endurance has improved dramatically. Plus, I've done this before, and I know it's not always easy and/or fast... which is why I gave myself nearly a year to reach my big goal. Hubby also pointed out that what you eat plays more of a role than activity, which I tend to agree with. So, while we've been eating much better and I've been monitoring my portions (to an extent... not actually measuring anything, usually), I probably need to cut my portions down even more, or start measuring them. Gonna probably give it to the end of January to see how it's going, and if I need to start logging my food, I will.
Lastly, when I was bringing the dog back in this morning, he saw a little dog (chihuahua maybe?) and started going crazy, and then he half pulled, half tripped me and I fell kinda hard on my left knee on the cement. Ouch. Even though I had workout pants on, it scraped a bit and it's definitely bruising (I bruise super easy, so it'll probably be huge and nasty looking!). Hopefully it doesn't end up hurting too bad.
