I know I'm about a week late but , Happy New Year Everyone! I've been really slacking on my participation on Sparks and for that I apologize! I'm back! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday--mine were great other than my car dying on Christmas night and then costing me $1300. Boooo!!! Last month I reached my goal weight! 138lbs gone and I was sooo excited!! Then the holiday parties hit...and my biggest mistake was going to a cookie exchange party! ha! Look at all these cookies!!!

Our 2nd mistake was that the fiance' and I went as TWO people so we made 2 different cookies and got to take home twice as much. We regifted them to some neighbors and coworkers but there were certain DELICIOUS ones that I didn't want to part with haha!!! It's been about 3.5 weeks since I reached my goal weight and I'm up 4lbs!!!! I most def "enjoyed" my holiday treats....obviously a little too much!! So hopefully this 4lbs will be off by the end of the month. I was actually excited to be back to work this week b/c I craved that routine of packing/planning meals and exercise after work. My holiday was fantastic--time w/ family and friends, yummies, and awesome gifts! haha!! Here are 2 of my favorites. 1- is my Polar heart rate monitor watch! Love love love it!!! And 2nd is my "place holder " ring from my fiance' haha! It's a ring to wear till she can afford an engagement ring for me. I love these rings b/c it'll be perfect right hand ring for later :)

So in normal New Year fashion I made my resolution list--was very proud that all mine were checked off for 2013!!! :) :) This year I did it alittle differently--my list seems LARGE but it's because I broke down each resolution by saying HOW I will achieve these goals. Over this journey I've realized that what works best for me is making small SPECIFIC goals. I'm more likely to stay on track that way. Here are mine:

By the end of 2014 I want to feel and look FIT...like toned,strong, and awesome! haha I have been struggling with the diet soda one--I'm really trying. I did it 4 years ago with regular soda (still havent had regular soda since -other than a random ginger ale here and there) and I know I can do it with the diet soda. This is just a new thing too--it's been about 6 months that I all the sudden started drinking a ton of diet soda (and only diet sunkist!! haha) So that's the one resolution , so far, that I'm struggling with but I KNOW I can do it!!!

    I love that you and I are both in the same boat! :-D At our goal range, and moving onto to toning and tightening and all that fancy business, lol. Really love following your journey, so proud of you and your amazing frame of mind. Keep it up, you're doing amazing.

    I hear ya on the cookie exchange. I did that too and then 'what the heck am I doing? I don't need these cookies!' but some of them were just too good to give away!

    Congratulations on your placeholder ring! It's lovely and will make a nice right-hand ring in the future.

    I like the way you've done your New Years resolutions - I'm going to give some thought to that. I don't generally write them down, just sort of think of them. But they're much more solid when written down!

    As for the diet soda - you can do it! I know it's hard because I was addicted to it too. Now I only drink it about once or twice a month, at a movie or something. It took a while to wean myself off it, but I think having done so that it really helps with the sugar cravings. Even though it's just aspartame, I think it still worked like a sugar infusion that made me want more!
