The scale finally moved!

I set my goals to spend at least 2 hours a day on my exercise. Stretching, dancing and filling out my physical food diary count and for a month I had been doing it. I was at the gym for around an hour 5 days a week during the last month burning 400-700 calories each visit and I was drinking my water and not overeating but the scale did not budge!
How frustrating that despite no increase in my eating and a definate increase in my activity level the scale simply would not move. Occasionally it went up a pound or two and then down but I started at 244 pounds and a month later still 244 pounds! "AGHHHH" I screamed!
Then finally, I boiled some eggs and maticulously started tracking my food and focusing on getting my 60g of protein a day. My carbohydrate intake dropped on its own and finally the scale dropped down to 237.
Next benchmark... 230lbs.
