SG Blog 3: My Journey and Plans

My journey has been long. I came to Sparks back in October of 2007 when my little guy was 2 months old. I had no idea I would still be at the same weight, still struggling, 7 years later! (Wow- this blogging has really made me realize that my weight issues, which I had always viewed as a short period of my life, have unfolded into a little bit less than 20% of my life- mostly my adult life.)
Here is a recap of my ups and downs:
New Year 2010- 180.4 pounds
New Year 2011- 173.4
New Year 2012- 167.4
New Year 2013- 180.6
New Year 2014- 173.4
Is that freaky or what??????
But, from my pattern, 2014 looks to be a year of low numbers, so I plan to get much lower and finally break this cycle!!!
That is my journey, ups and downs.
I logged about my plans in my last blog of 2013. Basically, I am seeking balance in my life. I am going to push myself but allow myself to fail and not be buried by my failures. I am going to try to balance different areas of my life- getting a job, making deeper friendships, etc- because I know that all areas of my life affect each other. I plan to end 2015 at a healthy weight, with a healthy spirit.
I like the saying that says that within every CHAlleNGE, you find CHANGE. I really want to be different this year so I can live a better life. I always pray that it is in God's plan to give me the time in this life so I can stop taking my days for granted and start appreciating each one. I want to be a very healthy, old woman! I am wide open to change- bring it on!
