I have to declare week 2 another success. They say it takes 3 weeks to form habits, so I'm more than halfway there! Yay!

After thoroughly confusing the living hell outta myself yesterday, I realized (thanks to ARUNNINGKAT) even if I count my weekly fitness minutes in a Sunday-Saturday week, that eventually, they'd still more or less even out to 1000 minutes in a month. So, I'll be counting my minutes in that way... unless I decide otherwise at a later date.
Okay, that aside, I once again blew my weekly minutes outta the water. I logged 310 minutes! Hooray! Once again, it was cardio on a treadmill. But, I increased my incline, added hand weights (1.5 pounds each) to walk with and keep my hands busy, and started to do speed intervals in the last half hour of my walk. I've been burning through calories, getting my heart rate up, and feeling the burn!! Maybe too much burn... for several days I did bicep curls, hammer curls, and tricep... um, curls? while walking with my weaky little weights. After a few days my triceps were so sore I could barely use my arms. :-S Not good, actually. My muscles almost felt bruised (they hurt to the touch!) just above my elbows. So, I took it easy and eliminated curls of any sort while walking for the last two days. I just held my weights. I added a small amount back in during tonight's workout.
Also, the special workouts of the week were LEGS and BUTT. Did some leg exercises using a Coach Nicole video and some butt blaster exercises based on a Coach Nicole video. Legs didn't get too challenging, unfortunately, but I'm sure I'll be feeling the burn in my booty tomorrow. Good thing I have a cushion to sit on in church!

Food I think I did only okay with this week. I had a few challenges thrown at me... Thursday I went on a quick trip to San Diego with my uncle and had an equally quick lunch at literally a hole-in-the-wall Mexican food restaurant. It was lunch rush on top of that, so I made a hasty food decision. I got the fish burrito, which turned out to be like a giant fish taco. And I mean GIANT! This burrito was huge!!! I couldn't even finish eating it. I nicknamed it the 'megarrito'. It was a calorie and fat bomb- battered fried fish, Mexican "tartar" sauce (what is it really? sour cream and lime juice?), a HUGE flour tortilla (probably made with lard)... the only redeeming qualities were the fresh pico de gallo (which I hate and picked most of it out) and fresh shredded cabbage. Ultimately, though, it didn't derail me too bad. I had fast food two more times during the week- one time I made some bad choices (fries and fatty tacos) and one where I made better choices (leaner tacos). Mostly, I think I've been eating too much candy and junk food between meals. Something to work on.
I did, however, track food every day this week. I found that if I track it meal by meal instead of all at once at the end of the day, my computer doesn't freak out as badly. So, I tried that. Worked out okay. Might not always, but this week I got some cooperation. I stayed pretty decently in ranges. Still room for improvement, but like we all always say: this journey isn't about perfection. It's about improvement and is a work in progress.

And in case you missed it on your Friend Feed, I weighed in for this week and...
Lost 2 pounds! Woohoo! Hard work and consistency is definitely paying off.
I know that might not always be the case, but right now I'm happy that it is. I'll take it and celebrate it!
My "other goals" that I'm able to do are coming along, I guess.Kinda.
-I went to Bible study on Tuesday and had a really nice time. We'll be meeting every OTHER Tuesday, so I won't have it this upcoming week.
-Make friends... well, I think I'll be making them at Bible study. A great group of women to be friendly with, too.
Still need to improve:
-Prayer
-Journaling
-Reading for "funsies"
Things I still can't do yet:
-Weekly Counseling (only available when school's in session)
-Hospitality ministry (can only do it when I have money for ingredients)
-Socialize with friends (I'm still in the process of making friends)
-Menu plan for school (starting this week, though!!!)
And I finally, after a week, accomplished the crap I had been TRYING to get done since Monday (give my kitchen a good cleaning!) I had to yield my schedule to everyone else's this week and kept putting it off every day. Today I finally did it. And I feel so accomplished! YAY!
Here are some photo highlights of the week:
Spinach, caramelized onions, and potato quiche.
Feeling the burn from the butt blaster workout!
Marinated baked tofu with stirfry vegetables over whole wheat fettuccine drizzled with peanut sauce! YUM!!!
Stretching before bed.
