55 years, 55 laps in 55 minutes

No that's not me.
I turned 55 on Friday and really wanted to go to Manhattan for dinner and a Broadway show, but the "dinero" is tight.
I wanted to do something memorable for my "double nickels" so I decided to go to the pool and instead of swimming my usual mile (44 laps) I would swim 55 or 1.25 miles.
Since a lap is two lengths of the pool and I swim a lap a minute, it took me 55 minutes.
I felt great when I got out of the pool and even wrote it down on the pool's dry erase board (with the lifeguard's permission of course).
I guess this would fall into the category of what I call "Bragger's posts" that I often read on FaceBook, you know, the ones that are put out there to tell the world: I AM GREAT AND MY LIFE IS WONDERFUL.
But here on Spark People we have no such thing. Here we revel in each other's success & we cheer each other on when a goal is reached, no matter how small. This is just one of the reason's
