5am workouts

It's been a week since I started my 5am workouts and it was quite strange that my internal clock woke me up on Saturday and Sunday @ 4:50 as well. I can't wait for this frigid weather to start warming so I can add evening walking into the mix.
I have been reaching my daily goal of an excess of 64 oz water for the last 2 weeks, and getting 8 hours sleep every night.
I have been off caffeine for 2-1/2 weeks. Having decaf tea or decaf coffee when I'm having my coffee craving. NOT a fan of decaf coffee so I'm working on weaning off totally.
This week I'm working on adding "cleaner" nutrition. More berries, oatmeal for breakfast instead of toast. Fresh veggies and more variety. Celery with PB and unsalted almonds for snack instead of store bought granola bars that have a lot of sugar and sodium. I started making our own salad dressing so I can control the sodium for DH and my lunch salad. We have really reduced our sodium intake for quite some time. DH has reduced is BP meds in half. I am on a very low dose of BP meds and my goal is to be off of this completely by the end of 2014.
I'm also going to try to get back to blogging. I loved going back to my old blogs and blogs of my SP buddies to reconnect with what has been working. Just a short blog can get you motivated to stay on track.
