I Don't Wanna!!!

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

Monday I kind of did some self-talking. I've got to pull this together and get healthy. I'm the only one who can make the change for me. I did some reading, and even watching, and came up with a plan that I can commit to. Did I pick easy things? No because easy won't bring about the change I need. But I picked out doable things that can be accomplished daily IF I just put myself first, love myself enough to put in the work.

One of those changes is picking a set time to go to the gym. For me the only time that I can do it each day is 5am. I texted two people, my son at college who is an athlete and my sister who lost 90lbs and is living an amazingly fit life since last summer. I told them of my plan and that I needed to be held accountable. They've both been awesome! This morning, day two of waking up at 4:35, my sister texted to see if I was awake. I grumbled and complained but said I was up.

At the gym I've met a group of ladies that come each morning. I don't know them by name but today, just being day two going at 5, I already had them saying Hi and showing me how to use some of the machines.

I need to stick to my workout and eating plan. I know there will be days that I might be thrown off track and when those days happen I need to have a fall back plan.

I don't Wanna get up that early but I know by making the change and staying committed there will come a day that I LOVE it.

I'm doing the same thing - having small attainable goals and I actually text my friend every single day and it is really helping me to stay on track. So nice that your sister even texted to see if you were awake!

I think it's great that you even met a couple of people on day two that were even willing to show you how to use some of the equipment. I'm very gym shy - totally intimidated by them but I love exercise classes.

    You're doing awesome! emoticon
