Dealing with Pain!

Friday, February 14, 2014

Last night I had excrutiating pain going down my right arm, shoulder and up into my neck and head. Couldn't sleep. It was stressing me out and getting me worried. Didn't get up at 4:30 to go to the gym.

I dread going to the doctor, I just don't go. I go maybe once every 18 months. But today I went in. I'm trying to get healthy and that means taking action with my overall health.

Over two years ago I went into the ER with similar symptoms. At that time I thought I was having a heart attack. An MRI showed that I have issued with a few discs in my neck as well as some bone spurs. These must be getting triggered again. I've been told no weights for at least two weeks and was given some Naproxen and muscle relaxers. Thankfully the doctor still okay'd cardio! She said if things don't get better then we'll have to go in for another MRI to see what's going on.

The hard thing it's all down my right side, I'm right handed. Even brushing my 6yo's long hair hurts. So frustrating! But I will take the steps to get better!

Great news, today I have stayed in my calorie range! Yes, I did have some chocolates, being Valentines Day, but I logged everything and am staying on target!
