Walk In Winter

I stopped by a local park on my way home today. It's staring to get colder, but it was nice to see other walkers. I did about 20 minutes around the frozen pond.



It was a lot warmer this past week, and I noticed I wasn't as depressed. I'm concerned about the upcoming polar vortex, though. After the holidays I think we're all just ready for spring.



Time to renew my apartment lease and, as I expected, it's going up by $25. My goal is to own my home within the next 3 years. Getting tired of paying rent.

    We're back in the below zero temps again. Only got a skiff of snow so that's something. The joys of home ownership are not all they are cracked up to be...no landlord to call when things go wrong and you are responsible for all the work!! Sometimes I think renting might have been a better option...and those taxes just go up year after year!!

    My dh walked the same park on Sat. using his nordic walking poles. Was so nice to be outside in the sunshine!

    Good for you for walking! It looks cold,but very pretty. We have had a unusually warm winter. Hardly any snow which will be a problem come summer. Good luck with your plan of owning your own home. It really is so much better to have your own home.

    The last lease I signed the rent went up $75 dollars a month! The thing is with the amenities here and location it was worth it though. With this winter snow I am glad my apartment complex cleared our roads and walk ways, so I did not have to shovel all that white stuff. I am looking forward to the Spring when our pool opens up!

    Good for you for getting out there! And best of luck on your three year plan. (I rented for a long time, so I know that feeling.)

    Spring has already sprung where I live, and that is just very, very odd. We haven't seen snow since new year, and now even the ground is thawing. This has been a strange winter..
