A Year of Vegan

This has been the best year of my life food-wise.
Buying some vegan cookbooks and printing of recipes from the net has given us a year full of health. And as a bonus, weight loss.
I ate my way through this year without meat, dairy, eggs or fish. The first week or two I would have thought would have been the hardest. After all, who wants to give up cheese and bacon?
But it didn't take long to find out you can make your own veggie bacon and cheese.
This year was far from being hard. I have never felt deprived. Never went away from a meal hungry. And even enjoyed desserts and snacks.
And I can tell you, I eat a lot.
If you feel that you could never go vegan, give it 21 days. You may find out that you enjoy cooking and eating real whole food and have the same bonus of dropping pounds and keeping them off without dieting.
