I had really be slacking off with both food and exercise, so it was time to get back on the wagon.
On Ash Wednesday (March 5) I challenged myself to be diligent about tracking all my food for the rest of the month. After three full days of tracking, here's what I've learned about my current eating habits.
1. When I'm tracking, I am pretty good about staying within calorie range and balancing macro nutrients (carbs, protein, fat.)
2. I have not been so good with micro nutrients. I have fallen way short on some key things - calcium, iron, potassium. I've also been over on sodium each day.
3. I have not been drinking enough water. I'm falling really short each day.
I'm looking at this as a good starting place. The next step is to add more vegetables to my menu and keep my water bottle full and in easy reach.
