Fun, fun, fun resolutions!

Hello dear Sparfriends,
Yesterday I blogged about my latest trigger situation (eating trigger foods like chocolate or cake whenever they're in sight at home because I feel in danger). Today, however, I've realised several things:
1. Even though I'm definitely struggling right now (after my gum surgery and my father-in-law's death), I'm keeping my eyes on the prize. I'm not beating myself up but I'm forgiving myself for every fall from the wagon (and it's been 7 days in a row today...). I know I'll finally manage.
2. I've also realised that I need more quality downtime. For instance, I need more restful sleep so I need to go to bed earlier. I also feel that dancing, listening to great music, completing a sudoku game, reading a story, etc. would really help me unwind. So I've decided that I'll set my timer and that once every hour, I'll do something fun. I want to get in the habit of having fun because I do deserve it.
3. However strange it may sound to me right now, I'm finally realising that eating is just a coping mechanism. I don't really enjoy it that much (considering the amount I can wolf down). So why bother? I can have food for fuel and then do the things I enjoy most (like ST in a minute - oh yeah!).
4. Finally, I'm REALLY happy and excited that two of my students have decided to power-pose repeating affirmations every morning. Last week, I told them about Amy Cuddy's Power Pose lecture on TedTalk and they found the link, watched the whole video (20 minute-long and in English) and are now practising power posing as my family and I do every day. That makes me very proud!
Here's the link to the video:

So I feel everything is slowly falling back into place! Now let's have some fun, shall we?
Take good care of you,
Nan
