HM training notes - week 10

So far this week, I've been able to get in 2 training runs and plan to get 2 more in before the weekend.

Since I wasn't able to run my scheduled 10-mile run this past weekend, I set out to run it on Monday. At 5 miles into the run, I got a phone call from my kids but my phone's battery died before I could find out why they were calling me!!! Mom-panic set in!!! Luckily I was only about 2 miles away from home, so I picked up my pace to get back home as fast as possible. Turned out, they were just calling to see how much longer I was going to be, and that all was ok. I thought about going back out for another 3 miles to complete a 10-mile run, but my mind had concocted all kinds of bad things that could happen while I was away from them, so I opted to stay home and put in 30 more minutes on my elliptical machine...

Today, I braved another run while leaving kids home and it went just fine. They actually said "back already?" when I got home. I just did a 3 miler. Tomorrow, I'm planning a 5 miler, but will never wander too far from home just in case I'm needed back at home for something. Then Friday will be another 3 miler.

Only 2 more weeks of training before my half-marathon!
