reintroducing myself and setting goals for april

A little about myself I work seven very early mornings a week delivering newspapers, been diagnosed with degenerative disc in my lower back and neck about 2 years ago, and OA in both knees about 6 months ago. I have also been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 17 ½ years ago.

The doctor is encouraging me to lose weight but I am not to do to much weight baring exercises.

I live in Northern CA with my husband which I will refer to as Bud, right now he is being supportive but not always. I have 5 adult children, 4 teenagers not living with us. That is counting my step sons. We have 3 dogs Baby Girl is a tarrier mix, Shaggy and Cookie are both chihuahuas they are all around 5 years old. We have 5 grandchildren 2 which we may never see since the father got custody of them and they live out of state. 3 is my oldest daughters which also lives out of state but I get to talk to them all the time if I want to.

1st My goals for this month is to start walking I started off with the goal of 2000 steps per day and I want to add 1000 steps to that goal every week. So far I been able to accomplish the 2000 steps the first week of the goal sitting. So I will be upping that goal to 3000 this Sunday so I will have a new goal to accomplish this next week each day.

One way I will be working on this goal is walking a trailer park that I deliver papers in which usually takes care of the 2000 steps and I am still stepping through out the rest of the day on top of this goal. I bought a pedometer to keep track of my steps.

2nd to measure and keep track of the foods I intake to get better control of the health issues I have, and lose weight.

They are the 2 goals I am working on for the month of April.

    No problem losing weight without exercise ... just take the calories down until you start losing. For me, that is 1200 per day. And, I'm almost never hungry after getting the added sugar out of my body. See my SparkPage.
