Isagenix update - and a new gym

No neighbor drama today - although yesterday was kind of funny. We have our trees sprayed to protect from gypsy moths and the like every year. The guys came to do it yesterday and I had to go running to the side yard where the property boundary is and ask them not to spray - I explained that they would most likely call the cops - and told them some of the stories. They were appreciative for sure. Then funny - they asked if I wanted them to overshoot another set of trees and hit their windows.....if I didn't think the people would be jerks I would have let them.

My oldest son has made it a game of "Survivor" with them. He and his friend were in the woods (not on neighbors property) working on their trails for mountain biking and the couple came out to their yard with the dogs - who bark constantly - and just wandered around aimlessly trying to intimidate my kid back inside. We joked that it is a game of Survivor - like the TV show -- Outwit, Outlast, Outplay. My kid won - they ran out of nothing to do in their back yard and went inside. Yeah !

OK - so I am still going through month 2 of Isagenix. I have only done 1 2 day cleanse, not sure I will do the second - I don't want to give up the exercise time - Maybe on a weekend. Not sure.

I also took last Friday - Sunday off. I just ate normally and got minimal exercise. The scale still moved...a whole -.1 pounds. But after three days off and an Easter Feast I was happy.

Hubby started his new job on Monday - and with the change of jobs came the loss of his workplace gym. He was so spoiled. Picture the mahogany lockers and steam room - quiet place, constant access to a trainer for $13 a month - yeah -he had it rough.

We had to find a new gym, so we looked at a couple around - because mine was a little far for him - and settled on one that is close....however going from a Bentley to a Ford is tough....the new gym kicks my old one in the rear. Totally clean, neat, not crowded, lots of everything to use, and they have rowing machines (BONUS). They also have a great spinning studio.

Hubby is going to go before work, and with the kids on vacation - I decided I would go with him. So off we went at 5:30 - the whole time I was driving there I was praying that it wasn't packed. Thank goodness....there were a ton of cars in the lot - but they must all take the 5:30 spin class because there were 4 people in the rest of the place. BONUS. I worked out with him - using the programs his trainer from the old place put together - I might finally get somewhere if I continue with him.

Kind of cool working out with him. I was a little nervous because I am weak - but I kept up. He then went to the showers to get ready for work, and I did 50 minutes of cardio.

He alternates weight days and cardio - where I can add the cardio on weight days. Tomorrow we will just get up and run.

Next week will be harder for him. I can't go with him, have to get the kids off to school - but he can now go to the gym on weekends too - so we might find a great schedule somehow.

The good news is he found a new job. October keeps getting closer and that is when the office where his old job is closing, and everyone will either be laid off or moved to Charlotte, NC. Charlotte is great - I could live there - but my kids would just not have it....so glad it didn't come down to that.

Nice job to still lose after Easter feasting! Very fortunate that you didn't have to move. We transplanted from major metroplex to small isolated city where everyone is related. It was supposed to be 3-4 yrs. 12 years later....
Hooray for a win in the neighbor games!

Seriously, hubby, it's about time you came to live in the world with the rest of us, lol. And now you are no longer living in the gym dark ages.

Sometimes I think if we had to move it would be a grand adventure but other times I think it'd be a pain in the emoticon

Glad the new gym is working out and that the neighbors are quiet - at least the human ones.
