Just because something is healthy and relatively good for you doesn't mean you can eat a ton of it. I talked about nutrition with my trainer. At night I overate on nuts (a couple of cups) plus some granola (don't know the calorie count). My trainer figured that the nuts alone added 800 calories to my day and probably with the granola I was up to a day's worth of calories. I tell you I am the worst of the night snackers. Please someone hit me over the head with a rubber mallet at 4pm and I swear I will be svelte in no time!

I think we all have our vices, mine is sweet things. I can't keep sweet things in the house because in the night the cravings hit and I am up searching for the sweetest thing I can find. I do buy apples for this issue normally, but most recently I bought a small cake, bad idea!!!! I ate through half of one of those 6 x 9 cakes, which is the ones I will buy if I buy any cakes. I would be a mess with a 9 x 12 cake!

emoticon Here's a helmet for the mallet hitting, couldn't find one of those, so a rattle will have to do! emoticon It's less painful than a mallet anyway! lol I know what you mean about nuts, I don't snack on them even though they're good for you, I just can't stop at 6 or whatever the suggested serving happens to be. Too addictive for me. Same reason I NEVER keep chips or crackers in the house. Just can't handle the temptation. You'll get back on track, I have no doubt!

For me it is cheese, crackers, pretzels, tend more to the savory tastes. To keep me on track I am going to try a SparkStreak - no, snacking! To accomplish this I have put my kitchen on a 'time out' - do not entre after the evening meal unless it is to refill my water glass.

Have you tried the diabetic tracker?

It has 5 meals a day, well 3 meals and 2 snacks...

I used that for awhile to get myself in the habit of having "PLANNED" measured and accounted for before imbibing noshes...

    Just a thought.
You will find your strategy to have the things you want to eat and the figure to flaunt, too !
