Has this ever happened to you?

Okay, so you know that my car was totaled 2 weeks ago when someone side-swiped me on the freeway.
I got a new car (which I've named Zoe), and I'm learning to love driving a small economy car. I've had SUVs since the 90's; which by the way is the last time I had to make a car payment! So, I'm figuring a monthly car payment into my very small budget, and of course my insurance is going to double because I can't just have liability anymore, and my rent has been raised....AND I've been planning my first vacation in 3 years. Add to that the fact that I've either got HORRIBLE allergies or a nasty head cold. (Everyone at work has been sick.)
So, a lot of stuff going on.
Yesterday I'm running errands before going to work, actually having fun buying things for Zoe; you know, trash bags that hang on the back of the seat, a new windshield cover to protect the dashboard, etc. My roommate and I decided to stop at Chick Fil A for lunch and on pulling out....BANG, someone rear ended me!
I've had the car only 2 weeks today. I wasn't mad, it was just an accident and could happen to anyone. But, I have to confess that I was kind of in a state of shock. All I could say was "I can't believe this!" I haven't had an accident in 10 years and now I have 2 in 2 weeks. Neither was my fault, but it is kind of making me "skittish" about driving anywhere.
The woman who hit me had some funky insurance that I'd never heard of before, so after exchanging information I drove directly to my insurance agent's office. They had never heard of this particular company either, but they got them on the phone and arranged all the details for me to have my car inspected. This company only does inspections at their body shop in Dallas and only on Mondays from 9-1pm. So, I had to leave early for work so that I could tell my boss that I need a day off. Mondays are one of our busiest days because we do all of the ordering for the store on Mondays. He told me to arrange to have someone cover my schedule for Monday so that I can take my car in.
I'm hoping that my car will be fixed before I go on my vacation! I'm supposed to leave on May 4th.
Trying to look on the bright side--no one was hurt. The damage was minimal. My boss could have been angry. I just switched insurance agents so now my agent is down the street instead of in Austin. Much easier to just drive to the office than to call the 800 #.
Best news of all? God is good, ALL the time!
