21 Day Fix

The 21 Day Fix is the next step on my fitness journey. I'm going to start it May 12. That will give a week to recover after my half marathon. The 21 Day Fix is a fitness and nutrition program that lasts 21 days. I'm getting back to the basics with simple nutrition and fitness. The program comes with 7 workouts on DVD's and an easy to follow eating plan. Its about eating clean, simple healthy food at the right times during the day and at the right portions. I'll do that by following the color coded containers. The workouts are a variety of cardio, upper and lower body strength training, yoga and pilates, and they are all only 30 minutes long.

Since I've been training to run a half marathon my appetite has been out of control, and I'm going to use this getting back to basics approach to reign it back in, and hopefully develop new habits. Not only with my nutrition, but I think I'm going to try to workout in the morning during the 21 days, and see if that's something that will catch on for me.
