My husband had to come and take the rake out of my hand and order me inside to rest. I was already starting to hurt but I wasn't finished and didn't want to quit till everything looked tidied up. He's still outside cleaning up my mess. I was out in the yard working 4 hrs. straight. We cut down the hedge and I cleaned up the flowerbeds then started raking the yard. Leaves and branches everywhere and we had over 10 wheelbarrows full to burn. It's forecasting sunny weather all this week so I intend to keep working at the flower beds and by this weekend I want them ready so I can go and buy some bedding plants and replace the ones that didn't make it through the winter. All the grape hyacinth will be budding by the end of this week and I have a lot of tulips just getting out of the ground so they may even be blooming by tomorrow. So far there are only a couple along the front sidewalk that are blooming. Now is my favorite time of the year when all the flowers start opening and the yard looks like a park.
