Pedometers, Sewing, and Jogging, Oh My

Well, May is National Employee Fitness and Health Month, for those who didn't know. My fabulous supervisor put together a step tracking competition (only for those interested in competing, of course) with some planned activities like hikes that people can choose to show up for if they like.
Everyone interested got a pedometer, and at 12am May 1st we went "live." Working third shift, I got an early start. :D Yesterday I had 20.4k ish steps, and today so far I have 21.7k steps. I did take a longer route than usual for my Friday walk, to make up for accidentally resetting my pedometer around 3:15am while assisting a resident. ^^; Pretty sure I already had like 3k steps, so I was kinda bummed to get back to the charting room, check my pedometer, and realize I was down to 87 steps. D:
These pedometers we got are a bit on the cheap side, though. The reset button is right on the front, and very easy to trigger - bump it in the wrong spot, and there go your steps. >.> I think I found a good spot to place it, though - attached to my sock, not between the side and back of my ankle (putting it right on the side is almost as bad as having it on my hip, in terms of reset-ability).
And this Tuesday (my "Sunday"), I finally got around to taking in my work shirts! (On a side note, I love the fact that the facility I work at has us wearing polos instead of scrub tops, which I have always found to be completely hideous.) I've been putting it off for ages because I'm lazy, but Tuesday I finally pulled out the sewing machine and got it done. I took four inches off the sides, and now my shirts are not completely huge on me. Not that it really makes all that much of a difference - I don't think anyone at work even noticed. XD But it makes me feel spiffier to be wearing shirts that fit better, so nyah.
In jogging news, I seem to be stuck at 3.5ish miles - I can do that pretty consistently. I can sometimes go a bit further (and even managed to break 4 miles on Sunday). But mostly I seem to be stuck at the 3.5 mark. I know I'll eventually be able to jog further without taking breaks, but it feels like I've been stuck at this point for longer than at any other point - it probably isn't true, but it feels that way. XD
