I am really having a hard time sticking with an exercise "plan" for more than a few weeks!! Lately, I've tried doing strength training 2-3 times a week (with a resistance band), along with cardio (walking inside to dvd's) the other 2-3 days a week & taking a day off or just doing yoga. Well, after 2 weeks of that, I haven't lost any weight even though my calories have been in range (mostly). I had this happen a month or so ago when I was really gung ho about a strength training circuit workout - just didn't lose weight & was really tired all the time.
So, I decided I will go back to the Walk Away the Pounds dvd's as my main "plan". Some of them have strength training in them, so I will still get some of that aspect. It seems like the only time I consistently lose weight is when I'm walking a lot.
To keep me on track, I wrote down all the dvd's I have access to. Then I jsut drew them out of a hat & put them on my calendar! I will commit to do at least what my plan says to do each day, more if I feel up to it.
I really, really want to see some progress for the end of the 5% Spring challenge. Right now, I am about exactly where I started (which I guess is better than being a few pounds heavier).
