This is the last week of the Spring 5% challenge. This is my second challenge. If I measure my progress by whether I met my 5% goal either time, I’d fail. But, I choose to measure my success on other things.
I have met many wonderful friends on my 2 challenges. I have rejoiced with them & been sad with them. And they have done the same for me. This is my 2nd time “doing” Spark People & the friendship factor that I’ve found this time (thru the 5% challenge team and one other team) have made me so much more successful at my goals!
I have developed and enhanced some great healthy habits. I am exercising almost every day. I am eating more freggies in a day than I used to eat in a week! This past challenge we monitored our moods & energy level. It has be helped me be more aware of how my healthy lifestyle are influenced by my moods. And take some steps to improve them.
I’ve also made some “non-weight” improvements in my life this challenge. I set a goal to pay down some debt. I met & exceeded that goal & have moved on the pay even more on other bills! I’ve also set goals for personal improvement (reading books) and fitness (I earned the 2000 fitness minutes trophy in April & am almost on track for May).
I can’t wait to see what happens on the Summer Challenge! Will you join me?
