Overdue Update

It's been 5 months since my last blog. I've still been around; am still struggling; and have not given up!

It seems that for the past 4 months, I've gained and lost 2 pounds. This dance is getting old!

I was gifted with a fitbit over the winter holidays. I had so much momentum and determination for the start of 2014. Then, 2 weeks into the new year, I injured the bottom of my foot. After wearing a boot for a couple of months, I'm now starting to feel better (it is still tender). My foot is taking a long time to heal (I'm on my feet, constantly).

Now that I'm fed up with the 2-pound dance, I'm getting back some of that determination and drive.

Here is what I commit to doing over the next couple of months:
* Tracking
* Menu planning for each week
* Cooking more, less prepared / packaged foods
* Daily stroller walks with the kids
* More dancing in the family room
* Drinking 12 glasses of water/day

And... Here is a big one for me:
Taking a weekly Pilates class. I registered for a Tuesday night class from June 10th through the end of August. This is new to me and is a million miles out of my comfort zone.

I appreciate all of the encouragement and support that I have received from my sparkfriends. Thank you!

    I don't know how I missed this! I am embarrassed to say I haven't worked out since hubby lost his job -- 6 weeks now. I don't have a good reason other than my home life has been turned upside down! I am getting lazy -- time to get back to walking!

    YAY! New blog! So glad to hear you are trying something new! Getting out of that comfort zone may be just what you need to see some changes!

    Meal planning is a down fall for me, but I'm planning and working on it.

    You can do it. I hope you enjoy Pilates. I too injured my right foot and it is hard to exercise with injury to a major limb that holds you up. I've gained more than 2 pounds and am trying to get back on track now. It is more my eating habits (they are horrible) than just not exercising.
