Second class

Last night was my second pilates class. After a long day of errands and obligations, I really didn't want to go. It was a struggle for me to get out the door.

But... Get out the door, I did.

Stretching out felt so good. The exercises were a little more bearable for me. I was able to do 1 that gave me such a hard time last week. I know that I have a lot of improvement ahead of me... but just the fact that I was able to engage.

Today, I'm feeling sore... in a good way.

This could very well be something that I continue with past August. And, that really surprises me to say that (in a good way).

    I am trying Zumba with my Wii. Most of it is very hard. It will take a lot of practice.

    Sounds like you've already made progress! YAY! Cheering you on!

    Zumba is that thing for me. I think I might try to get a wii session in tonight actually to see if my ankle is ready for it.

    Thrilled at your sense of progress and accomplishment! That is emoticon And it's great that you've made this commitment to yourself. Whether this is an activity you'll continue long-term or not, it's helping you move out of that static place you were before. So a big emoticon my friend!

    I have not taken on a gosh-darn new thing in ages, but I had a similar feeling this morning when I jumped on my bike for the first time in five days. I've been extra tired for a couple of weeks now (and lately, it's extra-EXTRA hot!) emoticon so I wasn't even going to ride at all. Then I thought I would just ride to the train instead of walking the mile and a half there. But all it took was one block before the feel-good kicked in and I was headed back to grab my helmet for the full ride. emoticon

    Sometimes all it takes is getting yourself to the class. It sounds like it is beneficial to you, and you are starting to enjoy it. I'm so proud of you!

    Mel -- so glad you were able to make the 2nd class. You will be a pro in no time. The moves will get easier. Hubby swears if you take a short walk it helps loosen the latic acid and the soreness goes away. I have done it and it really does work!

    Walk Away the Pounds -- like I mentioned yesterday and I can't BELIEVE how much I missed her. Getting ready to have my morning meeting with Leslie now.
