Day 6 -Golden Wedding Anniversary

My siblings and I are planning my parents 50th wedding anniversary -set for March 2015. PLENTY of time to get into great shape! We're planning to take a series of family portraits throughout the months before, our 1st being late August -that's 2 months away. I'm excited and hopeful to see positive changes in my body (and face!) being recorded in the portraits. What a great motivator, no?!!
Yesterday was Day 6 of my 100-Day Challenge, which I've decided to call a Journey (100DJ), to Be Kinder & More Loving to My Body.
I started my 100DJ by randomly choosing one of my many books on health/diet/fitness/etc (don't we all have at least 37 of those plus countless magazines & cut-out articles on the same subjects lying around all over the house???). Of course, one book alone wasn't gonna cut it so I decided on a combination of 3, LOL! My choices are... two books that I've had fairly good success with in the past and a Pinterest article of 100- and 200- calorie snacks. Book #1 is about 'carb cycling' by Jorge Cruise, low-carb eating for 2-3 days followed by a high-carb day. And Book #2 is a Tosca Reno clean-eating book. Each of my 3 choices has great, easy, and non-expensive eating plans (ideas) that I know will be valuable in my 100DJ and beyond!
Today I'll begin dutifully tracking & logging-in all food & exercise.
I'm excited! :)
