Day 3 of 100 Days to a New & Healthier ME
Saturday, June 28, 2014
Well here we are at day 3 and let me say that it was a bit more difficult than the other 2 days.
I tracked my food! I was also within calorie range!
I did 10 minutes of dancing. This was where it was a bit difficult. I had to really push myself to get it done. Frankly, I just didn't want to do it. What helped me get it done was the thought that I was going to have to blog about today and I didn't want to say that I didn't do it! I think I might have to plan to do it every day in order to keep myself on track with what I want to do.
Yesterday I said that I wanted to drink 12 glasses of water. Well as of right now, I have had 10 glasses but I have my next 2 sitting next to me and I will have it done in no time.
I had an NSV today! I almost forgot. Now this might not mean much to anyone else but it was huge for me! This morning when I got dressed, I was able to put on my pants without having to sit on the bed!
Maybe you have never been in that situation but there were times when I struggled to lift my foot up to put it into the pant leg even when I sat on the bed. I just kept thinking about all the things I wasn't able to do because I gained all this weight. This morning, I started thinking about all the things that were going to get easier because I was losing the weight.
It is so important to notice the things that change along the way. It is easy to just think that they aren't as big a deal as the weight loss itself but that would be wrong. NSVs are an important part of the journey and we need to take the time to notice them and celebrate them - big or small.
Well I better go. My kids are at the Paradiso concert tonight and I am babysitting. Marlie is watching a movie but is wanting to snuggle with grandma so I better pay attention!
