Free Delicious Food and Me

This is an accountability blog that will be updated over a four day period where I will not have total control over all my meals. It is a series of company events where it would be highly inappropriate to eat beforehand. It is also incredibly tempting and free food so here we go:

WEDNESDAY:
Lunch: Mexican food
What I had: Two chips with guacamole, Chicken taco combo
What I didn't have: substituted rice and beans for fruit salad (no sugar substances added) and best of all I skipped the buffet, desert and sweet corn stuff

Dinner: Really Awesome Seafood Restaurant
What I had: A gallon of water, small variety of oysters, shrimp, snails and some arugula with wine based sauce for appetizer; grilled mahi mahi and a latte for dessert
What I didn't have: I can't even describe the plethora of temptations from fine wine before during and after, cheesy appetizers, sauce laden entrees and literally one of everything at the table and passed hand to hand for desert.

THURSDAY:
Was just Dinner tonight, but I decided at noon that I could in fact get out of eating politely because it was a buffet with mingling.
What I had: (beforehand-chicken breast with kale salad and hummus) at the event just water
What I didn't have: Never ending alcohol and all you could eat Chinese food. My company was hosting so I had to keep saying thank you as people complemented the food. Man oh man I wanted some of the sticky fried tofu, but I can't do just one so I had more water.

I am now at an incredibly beautiful resort and will update this post more again tomorrow!

FRIDAY:
Breakfast-Yogurt and fruit (avoided the muffins, croissant, and bagels)
Lunch: Kale, Chinese style beef, small piece of port and a quarter of a sweet potato (avoided too much to remember and all the deserts)
Cocktails: this is where I went awry. I drank crown with water, which was an ok choice, but had too much.
Dinner: Salad and steak. I only ate half the steak because it was huge. No desert.

SATURDAY:
Breakfast: fruit, small piece of breakfast casserole and 3 pieces of bacon. I also went back for a croissant.

It was a good learning experience. I would have had straight A's if I hadn't had that first cocktail. Aside from it brining me out of my calorie range I also miss my morning work out, didn't get enough sleep and had to rush out without doing my SP work so I broke my streaks. Booo. Again, something to think about next time.
