it's not a diet - it's a lifestyle change

I don't have much to lose (just over 14 pounds. Maybe call that 20) and am almost half way there after 3-4 weeks.

But I was just thinking this am

Sparkpeople is a fab community but it's more than just a diet or a healthy eating regime. It's about a iifestyle change. It's about denying yourself that 2 tubs of Ben & Jerry's a weeka and just having one fattening dessert when 'you're going to go ape unless you have it'..

It's about walking into town when you can (even if that's with a hiking stick because you've not slept well and if you don't have the stick you'll collapse) and not catching the bus

It's about healthy eating choices and realising low cal doesn't always mean good for you. Does not the Bible instruct (paraphrased) - all things in moderation. So yeah have that chocoalate bar - just don't have the whole one. Share it with someone

I didn't log yesterday but then I hadn't been sleeping so after a good night's sleep somehow I still managed to lose. I'm not complaining. I don't eat less than 1200 cals a day anyways because it flares up my disability. But I'm not aiming to be uber skinny. I'm just aiming to fit in clothes again (I figure losing a few pounds is cheaper than buying a new wardrobe)

    Yes, I understand that! I should never have to buy clothes again...I have enough waiting for me to slim down into them to last a lifetime! Someday I'll get back in that special black dress hanging in my closet.... emoticon
