Not going to make my goal, of onderland this month

It was a hard challenge, but there is no way i can healthfully lose 12 pounds in 12 days. :D So I am noticing my losses have been averaging 1 - 1.5 pounds instead of 2 now so I will change my goal to under 210 by July 31.

Am I disappointed? Yes!!!! But I am also happy that I have been struggling the past 2 weeks and was able to still weigh less now than I did a month ago.

It's the journey, not the destination, right?

A huge part of me wanted to give up and smaller parts of me did give up. I feel like I am over that hurdle now and I feel refocused.

    I understand the disppointmnet when we don't reach the number goal we set for ourselves BUT, sometimes we have to set a goal to reach for the stars, and we may get to the sky.... which is better than if we didn't set a goal at all.

    You will get to Onederland... Keep pressing on, keep accurately tracking your food and calories, drink lots of water and get more exercise and you will see results!

    Your journey is in a positive direction. Accept your body and it's rate of weight loss. You will get there and that is what counts. Don't get discouraged and give up.

    Thanks everyone for the support! it is hard to meet/exceed self expectations and then not meet them. I'm just glad to not be quitting! In other times i would have self soothed with food.

    I know that feeling. I to have missed my goal. Not even close and I did not loose except to loose and gain the same 3 lbs back and forth. But it is a journey. And like any other journey its going to be hard. But if we stop in the middle of the road all we are going to do is get ran over. So DRIVE on to the end of the road it just might be what we wanted to see all this time! emoticon emoticon

    It IS the journey. And every bit of it makes for a stronger you.
    Don't be disappointed. Perseverance and allowing yourself to refocus when necessary is part of that process. Refocus as many times as it takes but keep trying. :-) You can do it! emoticon
