Fish Out in the Water

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

My 11 grand-daughter has been challenged to swim the lake with her 4H swim class. Some unkind person told her there are fresh water sharks in the deep water...pssh!! So she got nervous and wanted to drop out.

Its about 2 miles. To do it you have to put in your time and prove yourself by swimming 5 miles and then a pre-swim test.

Grandma is going to swim it with her! I have 4 miles so far...She has 3.5 miles in.

Lake Swim is August 8th emoticon

Us Fishes are gonna do this thing!! emoticon

Quick UPDATE - WE DID IT!!! YEAH!!!

Oh, what fun! I have not put on a bathing suit for a couple years (after too long in a pool and my legs would no longer support me/my weight, I almost could not get out! Scary)

What a wonderful adventure!! I think you are just awesome, not just because you are doing this, but because you can!!! I cannot imagine myself swimming that far, (I am not a good swimmer anyway), let alone being in good enough shape to be able to do it!! What a great workout this will be for you, too!!! You go, Grandma, and good luck along the way!!!! emoticon emoticon
