Well, that was humiliating.

Out on my usual Saturday morning run. Tired, but not unusually so - generally by 7:30am on Sat mornings I've been awake for 22-23 hours already (transitioning from days off back to night shift, you know). About 2/3 of the way through my run. Aaaaaand, suddenly I'm losing my balance. And can't regain it.
So I fall. Amazingly (and I'm sort of proud of myself here; I didn't think I had the instincts XD) halfway through the fall I manage to tuck and roll. Got right up, very smoothly, I must say. Already developing some killer hip pain, but I can deal with pain.
What really killed me was that here it was, 7:30am on a Saturday morning, and unlike every other Saturday morning there are not even one, but TWO people right ahead of me, one on either side of the street, AND a car passing by. Seriously, what are the odds? >.>
Well, the car just keeps rolling on, the gentleman across the street expresses some concern, which I wave off with an embarrassed smile. But the guy right ahead of me - I'd immediately stared walking again after rising, and as we passed each other (me walking a little stiffly) he's just sort of eyeballing me sideways with a nasty little smirk, like "That's what fattie gets for thinking it can run." It made me just want to curl up into a ball and die.
I really hate people sometimes. :/
But on the positive side, after a few minutes I was able to start jogging again. The pain seemed to lessen quite a bit at that pace, although once I slowed down again - YOWCH! Needless to say, the first thing I did after walking through my front door was downing some pain pills. I've got what looks like the beginnings of a pretty gnarly bruise on my right hip where I hit the concrete, but that;s to be expected.
I just wish that could have happened without any witnesses. XD
