My secret to gaining weight......

I finally figured out how to gain weight- Woohoo!!!!!

Trouble is that I am trying to lose pounds- what the.......??????.......

Since my birthday - June 27th, I have not written in my tracking of food on Sparkpeople.

So my experiment of not food journaling for one month resulted in my secret to gaining weight. Figured that I would give it a shot to not write thngs down & see if I could lose the weight.

Well that didn't work at all.....gained 3 pounds.....just wonderful (she says sarcastically)...... now have to work harder to lose the 3 pounds I lost the month before. Yeah, what comes off just goes right back on......

I still weighed/measured foods but not the snacks that I had of chips/chocolate/what ever I felt like having......

Normally when writing everything down, I would snack on fruit, greek yogurt, veggies. If unhealthy foods come a craving then just measure out one portion & allow myself to have some....

Always need to be accountable for food choices/portions.....Lesson learned!!!!

Someday I will not always be writing everything down- yeah like when I reach goal & am maintaining my new lighter figure. LOL!!!! However, for now- I must to keep control of my eating........

Anyone know the secret to losing weight?????

If ya do then congratulations as you just became instantly rich & will be worth millions!!!!

Please share the wealth.......but in the meantime, I'll just keep on food journaling & hope that what came on in 3o days will come off along with a few extra pounds........

Now that I know my secret - I will no longer gain......(hopefully)

    My secret is salad for dinner no dressing with chicken or fish. Power bar for breakfast , yogurt for lunch and a couple of snacks in between. I find I am not hungry at all. And of course exercise with cardio,and wight lifting. Boring but it works and makes for a healthier me I hope!

    Tracking my food is a necessity for me. I love to eat and I struggle with portion control.
    Keep pushing yourself to track your food. Tracking definitely helps us to be aware of how much we are actually eating. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You discovered (or rediscovered) a very important secret. I have had to rediscover it more than once, myself! Even in a sort of maintenance state I have to track, or I can easily derail. Enjoy your power of tracking!
