There really are some great people out there!!

My daughter is at her marching band practice today for color guard, as she has been all week. It's at the high school and they are there all day with a break for lunch. The school serves free lunch for any child up to age 18. So I guess a lot of the students do that instead of bring their lunch, my daughter prefers to bring hers since she is a picky eater. The only problem is that they do not serve lunch on Friday. So there were about 10 students who didn't have lunch with them today. Our band director send out a group message about these students and the number of parents that volunteered to bring food up to them was overwhelming. I wasn't able to because I was at physical therapy with my son, or I would have too. I guess they ended up getting tacos from Taco Bell so nobody would be hungry. That was so nice of them!

This overwhelming show of support totally made my day. I was so happy to see that people are willing to go out of their way to help out. I'm so excited that my daughter gets to be part of this great extended family. This is her first year and I can't wait to be associated with this wonderful group of people.
