When I started many years ago on my journey to "The good life" I had a lofty set of goals. 330 pounds is a place where I was and the place I never wanted to see again. I drew on my inspiration from Spark People, family friends, fitness books, magazines and the like and I also researched nutrition, exercise, relaxation and the trip has been long but now rewarding!
When a doctor tells you to do or die you have a chance to re-evaluate your life and I decided that I wanted to live! Food no longer controls me! I am happy and I am free of diabetic medications, pain medications and I LOVE IT!
The first step was to admit that I was miserable and that I needed a change. The second would be a little harder... I would have to re-invent myself... have that incredible lifestyle change! I needed to believe it and I needed to live it if I were to go from where I was to where I am!
I figured... if you want something bad enough... you'll get it! No excuses ... only results! Sure... I had my ups and downs gained a little, lost a little but I continued the trip and now OVER 100 POUNDS lost! Woo Hoo!
If you want it... go get it! It won't be easy but if you read, research, exercise, eat right and live rather than quit... you too will make it!
