reading an artical yesterday

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Ok well i was looking up yesterday about Pilates to see how many cals it would burn and came across an artical talking about how pilates isnt the best exercise for people trying to lose weight. Im thinking to myself well if you are going to lose weight dont you think you would want to tone up too? I mean getting toner is probably better for you in the long run, you get rid of unwanted fat and gain muscle

Then it says "toneing up, (Pilates), gives you the optcal illusion that you have lost weight because you can fit into smaller pants sizes," isnt that what most of us want anyways? To fit into smaller clothing? I really dont understand where this person is comming from with this. You can lose all the weight you want and still have a bad fat % fat is what we are ultimately trying to get rid of so we can be healthier and live longer to be our best and do the things we want to do.

I think some people dont understand about the muscle/fat ratio, fat takes up more room, muscle is dencer then fat so it weighs more.

They didnt have anywhere to comment and i wanted to say that badly. Ugh emoticon (shakes head) i wish more people understood the concept of the muscle/fat ratio it would make things so much easier.

Oh well guess not everyone understands the ultimate goal of exercise and being healthy. Im glad i do and many others here do as well, makes life easier emoticon

Have a great rest of your day hugs
