All Or Nothing

One thing I'm learning is to drop the "All or Nothing" mindset. I hadn't realized how much it affected my healthy lifestyle journey until I started becoming more aware of it with the help of my BLC groups and Spark Coach. When I mess up in the area of food or exercise it is easy to say that I'll fix it tomorrow, but in the meantime I might as well enjoy myself.

The problem is that tomorrow never comes. That enjoyment turns into discouragement and just isn't worth it. I still struggle on a daily basis to make good choices and I think I always will. The difference is that now I know that it is through a series of good choices that success comes. Success is not instantaneous.

In some ways I'm glad I've had to struggle through this because it has taught me so much about myself and I've been able to apply lessons I've learned in my healthy lifestyle journey to other areas of my life.
