This is a link about the Gift of Christmas production at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. It's not a youtube of a whole performance, more of an overview of the production, but I thought you might enjoy it.

I agree, it's not like Bethlehem. It's a Texas megachurch. (I attend a small charismatic church.) But, it's all Christian volunteer performers, it's all Christmas music, and the profits go to missions. The end of the production has a live nativity and afterword the pastor gives a talk and an alter call.

Interesting. Enjoy yourself. Spectacular sound. I counted at least four drummers suspended over the audience during the Drummer Boy song.

There is a Christmas spectacular in an area theater. I've wanted to attend that for years but I'm a wuss about driving that far at night on wintry roads.

    Thanks for sharing...
Even though I will not be in that part of the world... It was fun thinking about what it might be like to attend that "Gala" presentation. The volume would probably not be appreciated by my ears. I must admit I quite often take ear plugs with me to most performances with music. You have to wonder how today's performer would fare should they have to perform under the same conditions as the vaudevillians. If they couldn't project their voices... they were gone, no microphones and giant amps for them.

I guess I'm still surprised that it's so secular. More Vegas than Bethlehem.
