God answered my prayers.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

I decided to call the stores we went to yesterday. The first one I called said that no wallets were turned in. The second one I called had the wallet!!!!!!!!
My son had called the stores earlier and they didn't have it, but it was found later. I just called him to tell him the good news and he will stop by there this evening to identify it or go through any questions they want to know to make sure it is his wallet.

We bought a large plastic garbage can which was on the top shelf and he had to balance it over his head to get it down. I suspect the wallet fell out of his shorts. He was wearing nylon shorts and a T shirt.

God is teaching him lessons. I know I learned many through the school of hard knocks. He wanted me to go get it for him and I told him they may want to know what is in it and he should go to answer any questions.

I found one at KMart when I worked nights there. It was under a KMart newspaper ad and had over $40 in it and a picture of a dog. I turned it in and nobody ever claimed it. After 30 days, I was $40 richer. I also found the wedding ring I wear, a book of stamps, and winning lottery tickets while working at Big Lots. It pays to be observant.

So happy to hear he found his lost wallet! What a fright! *hugs* You're right about being observant. I was waiting for gas the other day and watched this one guy get out, got his gas pumping, then strolled around his car and the general area looking for loose change~ he bent over five times. I wonder how much he got? My baby sister is that way~ she's found more than one $20 bill! emoticon BB~

So happy it was found. I found one once when we were in a little café in Hawaii. Left it with the owner so hope the person who lost it came back to get it. Son found one at a 4th of July celebration and we turned it into the police-he ended up with a small reward for that one, and DH found one laying on a gas pump at W-Mart in Dothan, AL. It belonged to a military man because I looked in it. Left it with the store manager and they said they would call the base so hopefully they did. We were traveling or we would have tried to find him as all his credit cards were in it. There are honest people-I think probably 90% of folks do the right thing-at least I hope they do!!!

So glad the wallet was found - and you were so right to have him get it himself!

Once I saw a wad of paper on the ground so I picked it up to put it in the nearby trach can. But then I noticed it was pale green - and unwadding it, it turned out to be a $10 bill! It pays to be observant and a good citizen!
