Ready, Set, Reset and Restart...

Saturday, November 01, 2014

I generally wait to restart on the NEW YEAR, but I wanted to change it up. I wanted to be able to have the momentum I need to carry me through NEXT YEAR, not wait to start and then hope it gets me through.

WHAT's that you say, "ARE YOU CRAZY, trying to take this on with the HOLIDAY SEASON upon us?" I think not. If I can really keep track of how I do during the remainder of the year, and the stresses that come with it, then I will have a real handle on things when I get to the NEW YEAR.

I took the time last night and this morning to REALLY give myself a clean slate. I reset all streaks, revised some old goals and added some new ones.

I will get a better look into my strengths and weaknesses, my motivations and moods. I had a lot of up and down times this year. Most of it involved tracking on good days and not so much on bad days.

My activity revolved around others for a large part of the year. When others moved on I got down and didn't have it in me to move for awhile. My numbers were all over the place.

I am thankful that I had a place to keep track of the chaotic tracking so that I could see the error of my ways. It is because of that tracking that I am ready to move on by moving FORWARD to yet another success.

Keep on tracking and trekking. I wish you all the best. And if anyone wants to join me in the early CELEBRATION, just give me a holler!

Here's to a happy NEW YOU year! =)

Great idea. I always think of September as the start of the new year. I guess it goes back to starting a new school year, getting a backpack, clothes, paper, pens, etc. and I loved school. Probably why I like fall so much. Fall is a wonderful time to start your new year!!!

Great approach, Erin. It's always better not to put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Good luck.
