"What I can't live without"
There are three answers to this question. They are all equal to each other'
#1 - my hubby- Tommy & my BFF-Theresa! Love them both dearly.
Theresa & I have been best of friends for over 30 years now... She is the only one that knows me the best of all.
Tommy & I have been together for over 16 years and married for 12 years. He has figured me out and knows me just as well but still checks in with Theresa on some things just to be sure.
They are both different influences in my life and I could not be without them. Have a wonderful hubby & my BFF has always been the sister I never had.
#2 - Mug of Hot Tea every morning ( sometimes late afternoons) & my Books.
Since I was little I have always enjoyed drinking a good large mug of hot tea in the morning. About 20 years ago I found out about the company - Twinnings - and fell in love with the flavor - Orange Pekoe. No other company makes it and now I order only from them. Do enjoy other flavors and Chai teas/Latta's.
When we travel on Saturday morning to go home & I can't have my hot tea- always get sweet tea from McDonalds as my replacement.
Though, I will say that 4 years ago I had finally given up artificial sweetners in it and replaced with 2 level teaspoons Agauve -when home -no sugar when at restaurants and 2 level teaspoons flavored creamer. That is my one food guilty pleasure.
I have loved to read since learning & would be lost without books
I am still old fashion and love the feel/smell/look of actual books but had given in and bought a "nook" from barnes/noble 3 years ago- (out of need so I could read in bed without putting on the light so hubby could sleep without any brightness). The nook has a feature for nighttime reading & it works great. Got a hard cover for it so it opens like a book as I could still have my sense of feeling like I am reading a book .
I still collect and read hard/paperback books all the time but got use to the nook and enjoy that too especially the availability of buying a book instantly day/night.
#3. - My gold heart locket & gold Angel necklaces.
Tommy gave me the heart locket filled with "stars"- as I love the stars!- in it the first Christmas we were together. Have worn it everyday for 15 years.
My 3 nieces gave me the gold necklace angel the Christmas after their father had passed away. I love angels and they thought that it would protect me while I wear it. They were ages 8 - 17 years of age at the time. Have worn it everyday for 20 years.
Needless to say these pieces of jewelry are my charms & have gone through different chains to keep wearing them. They are a part of me. The Angel is longer than the heart so it lays just right around my neck. When I get dressed up & have to put different jewelry on, I put my charms in a small pouch & put in my purse so they are with me. Yes, I am that superstitious !!!!
Til tomorrow....healthy eating and happy thoughts always.....
