Day 5- Clean Drinking Water
Seriously, this is one of those things that is sooooo easily taken for granted! It's not something we ever stop to think about. Like, ever. It's just an everyday thing to have clear, clean water to drink to meet our 8 glasses a day. And no other sh!ts are given. But, so many people in this world don't have access to clean, clear drinking water. And in fact, good, clean drinking water is a relatively modern "invention". It wasn't so long ago that filtration for water was created! So, today I'm going to drink in my luxury and be thankful for it.
The health benefits of drinking water are so numerous and important, it's totally nutso! You don't get the same benefits from drinking anything else. "Well, soda is liquid!" Yeah, but the caffeine is a diuretic (causes fluid loss in your body), the sugar causes blood sugar spikes and imbalances in your body, and if you go with diet, the artificial sweeteners are screwing with your hormones. Soda should be a treat, not a regular. "Well, I drink coffee!" See above: diuretic from the caffeine, and how do you take it? Sugar, cream, artificial sweetener, creamer? See above still!!! "I drink tea!" SAME ANSWER AS COFFEE! "I drink fruit juice!" Lots and lots and lots of sugar. All of these things should be a treat and can fit into any healthy diet/lifestyle, but you still get the most bang for your buck with GOOD, CLEAN DRINKING WATER! YAAAAOOOOOWWWWW!!!
