The Music of the Night

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

Not quite a Sparkish blog – then again this is me we’re talking about here. Mostly this is randomness. No real theme. If you’re looking for some deep, meaningful message please move along. Nothing here. Just blathering blather.

Well, I shouldn’t say there’s no message or meaning here. Out of my many, many Spark friends someone may find something interesting. And by many, many I really mean probably like seven or eight of you. Nine at best. But that’s only if I include myself in that number.

Anyway, it’s Thanksgiving Eve as Spark-pal SBEAR5 put it. So ~

Happy Turkey Eve all!

Or for my veggie friends ~

Happy Tofurkey Eve !!!!

So the title of the blog – isn’t really about song music. Nope, the music I'm thinking of are the things that make me smile. And the dreams that I dream of.

Snow falling at night ~ blanketing everything it touches.

A nice cold IPA as I grill some grilling stuffs … on my grill.

That special someone.

Running at night, with my headlamp on ~ as a light drizzle starts to fall.

Those are the things that make up my music of the night.

Yeah ~ a random blog that is reflective. Or a reflective blog filled with randomness. Either way … that’s what I’m thinking tonight.

You all have a great Thanksgiving day tomorrow if you celebrate it. If not, then just have a great day.

Thanks for being there Spark friends.

hmm...some of your favorite things are things that make me pretty uncomfortable. Snow -- not really a fan. It's cold, you know, and my southern blood is a bit thin. Running at night -- never tried it (there are no sidewalks where I live and it would be super dangerous), but running in a chilly drizzle I have tried and, again, not a fan.

You inspire me to try and find the joy in things that make me uncomfortable.

    Happy late turkeyness :)

"These are a few of my favorite thiiiiiiiiiiiiings!" haha Sorry, of course I went to Christmas music.

I'm certainly excited to see I was quoted... emoticon

I think if I had a dog to run with, I'd certainly like running at night, but I'm not terribly crazy about doing it solo. BUT, I'm glad you do!

Well, whatever, but I have this in my head now:

" Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation
    Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses..."

AND it fits with your blog. emoticon

    You're emoticon

Have a great Thanksgiving, and a great run!!

Hope you have a good Thanksgiving too & have a great run!

May you always have pleasant dreams & find much happiness in your life.

And I'm very glad that you like to grill stuffs on your grill and not on something else... not sure what else there would be, but you pointed it out so I'm guessing you know??? Hey you're the one who's a tad random remember :)

It's snowing out here. We're going to have a white Thanksgiving.

I've never run at night. I've run at dusk, when it was getting dark, but never full-on dark. I don't have a headlamp, though I think it would be very nice to have one, and to run in a night race. But so far, I've been too intimidated. I really want to get back into running after I move back to TX.
